Easy – Easier treks, paths and tracks are easily walked in most weather conditions, with no special difficulties, no previous experience required.

Medium – Slightly harder walks, good paths, some more awkward obstacles, rocky terrain.

Medium+ – Moderate trek, terrain will be steep and rocky with the chance of some scree, the use of hands as well as feet, greater level of fitness required.

Hard – Harder treks, longer walks, more careful navigation required, as terrain can be difficult, exposed sections, there may be scree and minor scrambling encountered.

Extreme – Tough by trekking standards, these routes can be very arduous or include trickier scrambling and descents, routes could include lengthy exposed sections. A decent and high level of Fitness is a must as these will be extremely long and challenging days.


All trekking times that are are approximations and guide times, actual times will depend on the strength, fitness, weather and numbers within the group.
